Steady state solution of NFC model with nonlinear load using PEEC

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to show that the computation time-periodic signals for coupled antenna-circuit problems can be substantially accelerated by means single shooting method. This allows an efficient analysis nonlinearly loaded loop antennas near field communication (NFC) applications. Design/methodology/approach For modelling electrically small field-circuit problems, partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method shows very efficient. analysing circuit-like description problem, developed a generalised modified nodal (MNA) and applied it specific NFC problems. Findings It shown periodic steady state (PSS) solution resulting differential-algebraic system computed time efficiently A speedup roughly 114 conventional transient approaches achieved. Practical implications proposed approach appears alternative PSS solutions nonlinear with discretised conductive structures, where homogeneous not interest. Originality/value present explores implementation application based on PEEC efficiency approach.
